Icelandic Government Scholarship Open for Application

The Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture awards annually a number of scholarships for studies in Icelandic as a second language at the University of Iceland, Reykjavík. The scholarship program is administrated by the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies. Approximately 17 scholarships are available for the period from September 1st 2020 to April 30th 2021.

Icelandic salmon can now be imported to China

The first shipment of Icelandic salmon has already been shipped and is en route to the Chinese market. Agreement between Iceland and China on access for Icelandic farmed fish products to the Chinese market came into effect on 20 September following necessary technical preparations by Icelandic and Chinese veterinary experts.
